The potato farm developed by the Government which is also a sunrise view point is also one of the attractions here. The potato farms are about 1 km from the main market. The fields are developed with a joint effort of the government and the local farmers. The pahadi allu is a less sweet variety of potatoes which usually grow in the cold areas of Garhwal and are a huge demands in the plains and other parts of the country. A large amount of potatoes is produced here and is supplied to many places outside the state of Uttarakhand. You can also hire a horse ride here to go around the potato farms. The Potato Farm is for the ones with a rustic heart, looking to experience nature in its most raw form. The Potato Farm, natively called the ‘Aloo Khet’ is spread across large strips of land, owned by the government and some private farmers.
